Saffron Walden Town Council (SWTC) and Christmas tree sponsor Peasgood & Skeates are delighted to be hosting the Community Christmas Carol event on Friday 13 December. It will take place at the Christmas Memory Tree, Market Place from 1pm – 2pm. Led by Saffron Building Society Community Choir and Hadstock Silver Band, everyone is welcome to join in with some favourite classic Christmas carols. As part of the event, Saffron Walden Library, will host a ‘Warm Welcome’ at the library between 12 noon and 3pm, offering FREE tea and coffee. Said the Library’s Sarah Turpin, “drop in before or after the carol singing to and enjoy a tea / coffee and mince pie and utilise all the library has to offer.” A SWTC spokesperson added “we look forward to welcoming you and bringing the community together, whether that’s for the hour or just ten minutes on your lunch break!”
